Technology Employee Storytelling Campaign

T-Mobile had just launched the first 5G network and was poised to launch Scam Shield, Home Internet, and other IoT advancements. To hire 900 new technology employees in a highly competitive market, the company known more for telecommunications needed a recruitment campaign, fast.

The solution was to position T-Mobile as the best kept secret in technology careers and connect with groups commonly underrepresented in the tech industry through:

  • Videos: Showcased tech team members’ stories and drivers like the company culture, professional growth and the chance to innovate.

  • Photography: Refreshed advertising, the company website, social media channels, and job board profiles were refreshed

  • Event materials: Promoted DEI-focused events such as Lesbians Who Tech, Latinas in Tech, Black Tech NOLA, Grace Hopper, HBCU Connect, and Afrotech.

The campaign made record progress on hiring. Recruiters embraced the cool, cinematic style, saying the videos were unlike anything they’d seen the competition doing. It’s also worth noting we did the video and photo shoot at the start of the Covid pandemic–an effort requiring innovation in and of itself.
